What is the scope of this role?
As a Cloud Engineer you are responsible for planning, designing and developing cloud-based applications. Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines. Deploying and debugging cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the development lifecycle
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Deployment of Netcracker PaaS platform based on OpenShift and Kubernetes, private (VMware, Openstack) and public clouds (Azure, Google, AWS).
Deployment of Netcracker applications on Netcracker and third party cloud platforms.
Troubleshooting of applications on Netcracker and third party cloud PaaS platforms.
Creation of templates, containers, deployment configuration files.
Must have experience will you need for this role
Knowledge of programming languages (Python, Ruby);
Knowledge and experience in scripting (Ansible, bash);
Knowledge and experience in management of containerized applications: Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker;
Experience in Linux system administration (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu);
Experienced that can be developed while in this role
Knowledge and experience in virtualization technologies: KVM, Openstack, VMware;
Knowledge of PostgreSQL database, Mongo DB, Cassandra DB;
Knowledge and experience in DevOps methods (Jenkins, Git, Artifactory);
Knowledge and experience in JAVA-based solutions administration;
Knowledge of HAproxy, Pacemaker, Corosync;
Knowledge of networking, CCNA level at least
Experience in PaaS implementation projects as system engineer;
Experience in support of highly available solutions with Linux platform;
Knowledge of cloud storage file systems (CEPH, GlusterFS)
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in related field
