Position Summary:
The Data Security Analyst will report into our Global Security Organization (GSO). This role will be responsible for analyzing various types data - both structure and unstructured - and applying various methods for detecting and removing sensitive data. To be considered for the role, candidates must demonstrate strong technical and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to apply processes consistently. Previous experience working in a fast-moving enterprise environment is a plus.
Role & Responsibilities:
Deep analysis of structured data in various database formats for purpose of classifying data
Deep analysis of unstructured data in various file format for purpose of classifying data.
Navigation of database hierarchy and structure using SQL tools.
Training NLP data models for detection of sensitive data.
Work with excel for custom process.
Provide basic support for custom Linux based application
Participate in 24/7 on call rotation
Ability to participate in scheduled off hours duties when not on call
Support audit requirements for demonstrating effectiveness of data anonymization
Continually improve processes through automation where possible
Work closely with end-user support teams, security teams, and IT infrastructure teams to deploy new toolsets and enhance existing ones.
Collaborate with customers to understand new requirements
Perform root-cause analysis of in case of process anomalies
Collaborate with Governance, Risk and Compliance to mitigate vulnerabilities, define and implement security policies and baseline standards
Experience & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience
1-2 years of experience in Linux OS (Any *NIX skill is good)
Basic Oracle experience is preferred
Basic experience with other databases such as Cassandra, PostgreSQL, etc is a plus
Possesses a "security-first" mindset.
Advanced knowledge of technical/business environment. Able to engage with internal customers without direction
Must be a quick learner, with strong attention to detail
Must have strong focus on internal and external customer requirements
Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Must have appropriate skills with the standard workstation software utilized to perform daily duties, e. g., Word, Excel, Visio, etc.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in related field
