What will be your responsibilities?

This position will be part of our global IT team based in Sofia.  As a SRE Engineer with Netcracker, you will participate in the design and automation activities for Cloud Environments including:

• Participate in design of cloud infrastructure to deploy Netcracker solution.
• Deploy and troubleshoot platform services and applications in cloud environments (Azure, AWS and on premise K8s/OpenShift);
• Deploy and configure product CICD tools, configure pipelines and environments, create custom pipelines and automations.
• Set up and improve monitoring of cloud-native applications;
• Contribute to application support knowledge base;
• Carry on system patching, release deployments, solution maintenance, backup-restore operations;
• Monitor production system, fix problems and perform system restoration.
• Collaborate with product development and application development teams.

What experience, education and requirements do you need?

• 2+ years of practical experience of deploying and operating applications running in container orchestration systems (K8s or OpenShift);
• Solid troubleshooting skills, ability to diagnose issues in automation scripts (Ansible, Groovy, Bash);
• Experience with Kubernetes 
• Strong knowledge of DevOps concepts and tools (git, ansible, helmchart)
• Strong knowledge of PKI/TLS;
• 2+ years of experience in Linux system administration (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian);
• Understanding of networking concepts;
• This position requires being part of a 24×7 shift rota.
• Oral and written communicant in English on intermediate level.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other Technical Engineering discipline.
