Management World 2010: NEC’s OSS/BSS subsidiary NetCracker has won a deal from a US government-owned electricity company
A state-owned power company in the US has picked a NetCracker system to manage its internal communications network.
NEC-owned NetCracker said at the TMForum’s Management World conference that the Bonneville Power Administration, which is owned by the US federal government, will use its TOMS system to run its telecommunications information management.
Andrew Feinberg, CEO of NetCracker, said the deal “will deliver the benefits of next-generation infrastructure to BPA’s consumers”.
Bonneville, part of the US Department of Energy, operates a high-voltage transmission grid in the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana. It will use NetCracker’s system in planning the design, installation and management of the company’s telecommunications systems and associated circuits.
“We are excited to be part of the partnership,” said Feinberg.
