Service Layer Transformation at the Core of Innovation and Adoption
Waltham, Mass. November 28, 2006 NetCracker Technology announced today that it will be demonstrating its product innovation, market leadership, and successful deployments of OSS solutions with leading providers in North America at the TeleManagement World Americas, the world's largest OSS/BSS exhibition, taking place from December 4–7 at the Adam's Mark Hotel in Dallas. NetCracker is a Gold Sponsor of the show, and will be hosting and participating in numerous events throughout the conference. The company will be exhibiting in Booth #200.
NetCracker's innovative Service Layer Transformation™ approach lies at the core of these engagements in Dallas. Using its complete end-to-end OSS solutions, its customers have undertaken OSS transformation projects for new networks and to deliver converged services. NetCracker will be demonstrating a number of innovative approaches involving IP networks, content and multi-media services, and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).

After opening the show with its invitation-only VIP reception on Monday, December 4 - in conjunction with the TMF - NetCracker will participate in a series of showcase events that include the following:
Tuesday, December 5
- NetCracker will participate in a special Business Week Executive Roundtable from 2:00–3:00 p.m. in EXEC1 (Adam's Mark Hotel). This roundtable will host TELUS, a leading NetCracker customer, and will discuss Service Transformation undertaken by operators.
Wednesday, December 6
- NetCracker will host a breakfast presentation delivered by Arthur J. Musgrove, Director, Business Transformation & Chief Technology Officer for TELUS from 8:00–9:00 a.m. in City View 8 (Adams' Mark Hotel, 4th floor). The presentation is titled "Using OSS/IT to Drive TELUS' Business Transformation" and will provide key insights into TELUS' unique approach and success in delivering new converged services over a diverse infrastructure.
- Sanjay Mewada, NetCracker's Vice President of Strategy, will present "Lessons on Acquisition: Building one of the Largest CLECs in the U.S." This session runs from 9:25–9:45 a.m. at the Executive Summit, EXEC 4.
Thursday, December 7
- NetCracker will host a breakfast panel titled "Service- vs. Network-Centric OSS: Opportunities & Challenges" from 8:00–9:00 a.m. in City View 8. The panel will consist of AJ Musgrove, Director, Business Transformation & CTO for TELUS; Shira Levine, Senior OSS Analyst, IDC; and NetCracker's Sanjay Mewada. The panel will be moderated by Tim McElligott, Senior Editor, Telephony.
- Sanjay Mewada will chair the Operations Summit sessions on Thursday and will also present a session titled "Best Practices in IPTV Deployment" from 9:05–9:25 a.m. in OPER9.
Catalyst Project Demonstration
NetCracker is an active participant in the NGN OSS Blueprint Catalyst project, which is sponsored by France Telecom. The project focuses on implementing standards-based OSS for accelerating converged product delivery.
NetCracker joined the Catalyst project at the onset of Phase III to broaden the project's scope. The project will demonstrate how it has created a holistic solution by bringing together elements of network and IT infrastructure, product and service catalog, and end-to-end fulfillment including order management, provisioning and activation, and inventory. The demonstration will also prove the co-existence of all the elements in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and will further accelerate the development of standards and guidelines for NGOSS, including IMS/SDP.
