NetCracker to Demonstrate the Power of Merging Network and IT at LandWarNet 2007
Single NetCracker Platform Manages all Network & IT Resources
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL August 20, 2007 NetCracker Technology announced today that it will demonstrate its industry-leading solution that allows the military to use a single platform to harness the power of their IT and Network infrastructures.
Daily demonstrations of this solution will be held in Booth 838 at the LandWarNet 2007 conference in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, from 21–23 August. The solution will also be discussed in Track 2, Session 6 (DOIM Operations) on Wednesday, 22 August from 1430–1530.
The ability to manage all Network and IT resources from a single platform is central to NetCracker's ground-breaking v7.0 product, announced in May, 2007. Among v7.0's many innovations is its ability to manage services across all 7 layers of the OSI stack. Customers can now:
- Create, deliver, and manage converged services across Network and IT infrastructure using a single platform
- Accurately model and visualize physical resources, logical resources, applications, and connectivity across Network and IT domains
The Army Enterprise Infrastructure Management (EIM) Project is an example this integrated capability.
NetCracker will describe how EIM creates automated, deconflicted, end-to-end views of IT and Telecom software and hardware resources and how EIM provides powerful, intelligent workflows that facilitate service requests and funding preparations.
NetCracker's solution enables Army Sustaining Base, Tactical, and Telecom areas to:
- Track and manage IT and Telecom assets and integrate the resulting data into an EIM repository
- Apply workflows to a wide range of Army IT management functions from software utilization to service management
- Ensure accurate, on-time service delivery to the warfighter
- Lower and optimize service delivery costs
- Streamline and automate operations
Daily demonstrations will be held at Booth 838 on how:
- The joint NetCracker Army, Army National Guard, and Army Software Engineering Center Sustaining Base EIM Project enables real-time IT and Telecom network management, reporting, and automated network-aware process enablement
- The NetCracker application for the Army Tactical Arena enables deployment assistance and IT and Telecom equipment allocation assurance for the warfighter, ensuring the right equipment for the right mission
Track 2, Session 6 (DOIM Operations), to be held on Wednesday, 22 August from 1430–1530, will explain how NetCracker’s Enterprise Infrastructure Management (EIM) supports DOIM/headquarters operations.
