Merging the Power of Network and IT: Moving OSS to the IT Domain

OSS for service providers has traditionally managed the network at Layer 3 and below. The need to manage infrastructure at Layer 3 and above has increased dramatically as a result of the current focus on content and rich-media services. These complex services require the choreographing of switches and routers in the network with video and content servers and applications in the IT domain. NetCracker v7.0 merges the power of Network and IT, managing Layers 1–7 from a single platform.
