NetCracker Selected to Accelerate Deployment of Videotron’s Next Generation Infrastructure

Solution Optimizes Capital and Operational Costs

ORLANDO, FL — November 18, 2008 — NetCracker Technology’s innovative OSS solution has been selected by Videotron Ltd. — Canada’s third-largest Cable operator — to accelerate the deployment of high capacity, converged infrastructure and to enable the delivery of content-rich services. The solution will be used to manage the deployment of Videotron’s optical and cable infrastructure. NetCracker’s solution will enable Videotron to reduce its operational expenses, accelerate delivery of services, and improve quality of service. This contract significantly expands NetCracker’s presence and leadership in the global Cable market.

Videotron Ltd., a subsidiary of Quebecor Media, is an integrated communications company engaged in cable broadcasting, interactive multimedia development, Internet access services, cable telephony, and wireless telephone services. It is the primary cable operator for the Province of Quebec, serving over 1.6 million business and residential customers.

“NetCracker’s superior architecture and ability to integrate easily with other systems will allow Videotron to track accurately the deployment of our state-of-the-art network,” said Michel Allard, VP Technology Development at Videotron. “The breadth and depth of NetCracker’s solution and technical expertise — and their proven track record in supporting advanced technologies — will allow us to deploy services and networks faster, with reduced cost and increased customer satisfaction.”

NetCracker will deploy its Resource Inventory module and will also provide professional services. NetCracker’s solution will consolidate and replace many legacy systems that Videotron currently uses to manage its physical and logical inventory. The solution will enable Videotron to optimize asset management and capacity utilization — and thereby reduce operating and capital expenditures.

“The ability of NetCracker’s solution to rapidly model complex technologies will future-proof Videotron’s network deployment and management,” said Andrew Feinberg, President and CEO of NetCracker Technology. “We are most pleased to support Videotron’s mission to provide customers with the best possible experience — and to be one of the most profitable service providers in the industry.”

NetCracker’s ability to transform the Service Layer and manage Network and IT from a single platform allows service providers to speed the delivery of complex new services. Using NetCracker’s flexible and scalable solutions, leading providers around the world have achieved rapid service delivery, streamlined operations, reduced costs — and created closer customer relationships.
