NetCracker Helps Videotron Accelerate Its Business Transformation
Agreement Expands TOMS Software and Services to Drive Operational Efficiencies and Roll Out Preferred Services
WALTHAM, MA — July 19, 2010 — NetCracker Technology announced today that Videotron Ltd. has expanded its relationship with NetCracker to include additional TOMS (Telecom Operations and Management Solutions) software and services that are strategic to its ongoing business transformation. These additional capabilities will enable Videotron to accelerate the rollout of bundled service offerings and achieve higher levels of operational efficiency.
Videotron Ltd., a subsidiary of Quebecor Media, is an integrated communications company engaged in cable broadcasting, interactive multimedia development, Internet access services, cable telephony, and wireless telephone services. It is the primary cable operator for Canada’s Province of Quebec, serving over 1.7 million business and residential customers.
This new expansion of software and services builds on an already successful implementation project and partnership between the two companies. The expanded scope of the relationship fully leverages NetCracker’s comprehensive TOMS offerings as well as skilled resources and best practices in delivery, implementation, maintenance, and support.
“NetCracker and Videotron have a proven track record for successfully working together, meeting deadlines, and mapping to budget,” said Andrew Feinberg, President and CEO of NetCracker. “NetCracker’s onsite team at Videotron has become a true extension of Videotron’s internal resources.”
Michel Allard, Videotron’s VP Technology Development, is pleased with the success of the deployment to date. In view of the accomplishments by the joint Videotron–NetCracker project team, he is also pleased to expand the scope of the project. “By consolidating existing legacy systems through this OSS transformation, Videotron has gained the flexibility it requires to roll out and support new services and new offerings — including quad-play bundles. The expanded relationship will better enable us to future proof our product lines and offer customers the next generation of communication services,” said Mr. Allard.
