NetCracker Outside Plant

The lack of accurate information on outside plant inventory often results in the under-provisioning or over-provisioning of assets. This creates stranded assets, higher than necessary capital expenditures, and poor customer service.

The NetCracker Outside Plant module provides a centralized, dynamic repository of all outside plant assets and is pre-integrated with the Resource Inventory and Service Inventory modules. All connectivity and topology information (logical and physical) is contained in this repository.

The Outside Plant module consists of:

• An OSP-specific resource model that stores and tracks OSP objects
• A GIS integration component that integrates with external GIS systems and maps service and network infrastructure onto GIS objects

Outside Plant also provides reports that contain comprehensive information for capacity management, assurance, planning, and other processes.
