Position Summary:

We are looking to hire a QA Manager to join our growing company. This position will be part of our Customer Assurance division based in Sao Paolo- Brazil

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the work program for strategic QA processes improvement initiatives.
  • Manage a QA team in terms work program planning and project assignments (WFM).
  • Create/Review Test Strategy and Master Test Plans and other Documents for all projects in the work program.
  • Responsible for coaching, mentoring, training and day to day interaction with a team of QA professionals (leads, testers, automation experts, planners)
  • Institutionalize the best QA practices.
  • Establish and manage governance associated with QA activities on all projects.
  • Establish and drive tactical and strategic QA plans and initiatives.
  • Interface with the development and maintenance teams (e.g. management, PMs, development leads, vendors)
  • Research leading QA practices and technology.
  • Determine and utilize automation technology and processes to optimize costs.
  • Provide test progress status/reports to management and executives.
  • Ability to understand multi culture, Onsite/Offshore, Multi Vendor scenario.

Experience and Requirements:

  • Should have at least had about 1-2 years’ experience in managing large QA programs for Telecom operators
  • Should have had at least 4-5 years’ experience in people/project management on the QA side.
  • The QA Manager will be involved in a multi-year (2 year+) program within our QA Division and is required to play a key role as part of the onsite team.
  • Excellent English and Portuguese communication skills including both written and verbal

    • Defines team's deliverables, content and quality metrics
    • Ensures team has adequate training, consulting and tools to deliver objectives

    • Continually enhances own skills and builds knowledge in all aspects of the organization, the business and information systems

B.A., B.S., or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline
