Netcracker Technology is looking to hire a .NET Developer to be based out of our office in downtown Cincinnati, OH.

Position Summary:

This .NET Developer will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of  ordering/provisioning related systems) for a Netcracker customer. These are medium to large web and server based operational support systems developed in house for the end client. 

The Ordering system is a web-based, front end ordering interface that communicates too many internal systems at our client, as well as generating orders for the back end mainframe system for billing.

The web-based provisioning interface system is responsible for central office management, planning, and administration.  The system assigns and tracks all inventory of equipment within the multiple wire centers for the vast majority of our clients’ owned access lines.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Involved in the complete life-cycle of software development for our clients’ systems, from requirements to production maintenance
  • Work with end-user and other internal groups (systems engineering, other developers) to define system requirements
  • Estimation of project work
  • Design and development
  • Unit Testing
  • Working with internal System Test group, resolution of testing issues
  • Working with end-user in coordination of User Acceptance Testing, issues resolution
  • Use of internal custom systems that manage system requirements, estimation, task definition, and project hours reporting
  • Configuration management of multiple simultaneous (short and long term) projects.  This includes organization of both Source Code Control and System Testing runtime configurations.
  • Planning, coordination and execution of production release installation and verification, includes off hours work
  • Production maintenance, including issue investigation/resolution, performance monitoring.
  • Planning and executing special conversion tasks in production

Experience & Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft .Net technologies
  • Microsoft Visual Studio 2013
  • C# and CSHTML
  • HTML, Razor, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
  • Proficiency in DevExpress .Net UI controls a big plus
  • SQL Server development experience, must be proficient in SQL language and development of Stored Procedures
  • Source Code Control – TFS primarily, familiarity with SourceSafe and Subversion a plus
  • Model-View-Controller development methodology
  • WCF web service development
  • SSRS Reporting development
  • Distinct 3270 Terminal Emulation API software
  • Familiarity with Dynatrace performance monitoring software a plus
  • Use of SharePoint
  • Visual Basic (v6) a plus

General Application Knowledge:

  • Telephony based systems
  • Order entry (rate based services)
  • Service Provisioning


  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related field.
