We are looking to hire a Technical Program Director to join our growing company. This position will be part of our Engineering department, but is situated at the client(s) location(s).This position is primarily responsible for acting as the technical team leader for Netcracker and for enhancing the relationship with the client and other vendors.
Principal Duties and Responsibility:
Oversee all technical functions of the BSS/OSS/NFV/SDN program.
Responsible for operation side of BSS/OSS/NFV/SDN solution implementation.
Escalation point for Netcracker technical management teams.
Is the onsite customer facing technical point of contact across all projects.
Lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects and ushers them through the entire lifecycle.
Develop tools and ensures processes are followed to ensure code quality and improve productivity.
Review and approve estimations (scope, cost, time, etc.).
Ensures cross communication between BSS/OSS/NFV/SDN Solution Architects.
Ensures cross communication between BSS/OSS/NFV/SDN Technical teams and that standard processes are followed between both programs.
Ensures that the roadmap discussions are held between Netcracker and the customer to ensure performance and scalability of the solution(s).
Participates in code and design reviews.
Provide technical design and/or understanding of the work being delivered.
Communicate timeline impacts if any to Program and Project Management team(s).
Able to understand the delivered solutions and speak towards functionality and impact analysis of delivered artifacts.
Grows and manages local engineering team
Experience and Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years overseeing large scale Telco BSS/OSS programs.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in software development.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Customer relationship management.
Strong software and system delivery skills.
Experience with Netcracker is a plus.
J2EE or similar architectures
XML, REST, JSON/YAML
Cloud and Microservices Architectures are nice to have
SQL (such as Oracle) and NoSQL Databases
Experience in SaaS, PaaS and IaaS architectures
Experienced in Continuous Integration, Configuration Management, Agile and iterative processes
Scrum, DevOps, CT/CD
Understanding and experience in large scale delivery projects, PMI
Development process organization
Bachelors in Computer Science or a related Engineering field
