Senior QA Manager

Position Summary: 

The role will lead a large, multi-year QA program for a production wholesale platform by managing day to day client relationship, providing strategic direction & guidance to on and off-shore team leads, prioritize daily activities to achieve goals, manage client escalations and ensure overall success of the project for the client.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the QA program lead for a large multi-shore, multi-country matrixed team
  • Manage day to day activities of the team and drive prioritization through QA leads
  • Institutionalize QA best practices and continuous lessons learned
  • Make strategic recommendations to address issues long term and drive implementation
  • Proactively manage QA risks for every release to ensure quality and on-time go-lives
  • Manage day to day relationship with client QA Senior manager
  • Lead daily QA status calls (internal, as well as external with Client IT & Business)
  • Work closely with Netcracker QA director to implement long term QA vision
  • Understand the QA contract and ensure compliance with established SLAs and KPIs
  • Establish and maintain QA governance
  • Reviews key project deliverables for content and quality
  • Manage and foster relationships with near-neighbor teams (downstream Dev & QA teams, Business, Project PMs etc.)
  • Coach & mentor QA leads and team members
  • Stay up to date with latest QA practices and technology
  • Prepare and provide routine executive read-outs

 

Experience and Requirements:

  • 10+ years of QA experience (Telco preferred)
  • 6+ years of demonstrated success leading QA teams with on and off-shore
  • 4+ years testing in Agile delivery
  • Wholesale testing experience preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; comfortable leading calls with diverse audience (IT, Business, senior executives etc.)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience around:
    • Management of Complex program/project
    • Testing best practices
    • Test governance
    • Test automation & performance testing
    • Defect management
    • Shift-left & test-driven development
