The Global Benefits and HR Compliance Specialist will assist in the administration of Benefits, coordinate Leave of Absence, ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws, and assist with compensation duties. This Specialist will report to the Human Resources Director and work with the Human Resources Business Partners in the processing and handling of various HR functions directly related to benefits administration, enrollment, data maintenance, compliance, reconciliation, invoicing, leave of absences and compensation data.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with Global Benefits Brokers/Consultants and vendor partners to ensure benefits are designed competitively and delivered efficiently and effectively with the highest levels of service.
  • Oversee project management of all global renewals, proactively manage timeline risks
  • Responsible for collecting and maintaining all records as it relates to benefit enrollment for new hires, transfers and status changes.
  • Track and process all enrollments for all new hire and life event changes.
  • Ensure benefit files have all required documents.
  • Responsible for billing reconciliation and submittal of payment requests for all benefits.
  • Work with HR Business Partners to coordinate and communicate events relating to employee benefits, such as open enrollment.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and that benefits are communicated in a meaningful and relevant manner that engages and educates employees and their families helping them understand how to efficiently use their benefits and the value they provide.
  • Monitor ACA compliance, take action on issue resolution and communicate needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with insurance carriers and ensure proper communication and working relationships.
  • Responsible for tracking all leave of absence (LOA) documentation, notifications, correspondence and administration details accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure maintenance of accurate and complete LOA records, files and reporting in accordance with company processes, policies and procedures, as well as any applicable regulatory information.
  • Update and maintain Leave of Absence tracker
  • Communicate with managers and HR Business Partners on the status of employees on LOA.
  • Assist employees with FMLA and leave of absence questions.
  • Work with HR Director to ensure applicable forms, tools, process and policies are current and appropriate based upon requirements and changes in all locations that Netcracker is doing business.
  • Review and understand policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations pertaining to paid leaves in all the states the Company does business.
  • Perform regular self-audits to ensure accuracy and data integrity related to benefit invoices and time off tracking systems.
  • Work with 401(k) plan provider and designated consultants to prepare mandated and requested data analysis and documentation including discrimination testing.
  • Ensure that all Time Off and Leave Programs around the world are managed in compliance with local, state/provincial, and national laws.
  • Keep current on market trends, business challenges, and priorities by gathering competitive market data and networking with industry peers.
  • Responsible for I-9 compliance and EEOC reporting.
  • Participate in external compensation surveys.
  • Use individual discretion to identify and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or other related field preferred

Qualifications/Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in benefits and leave administration required.
  • Must be able to respect and maintain highly confidential information.
  • Effectively work independently and as a member of a team, quickly build strong working relationships, demonstrate a high-level of integrity, and establish a proactive approach to customer service.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail with excellent prioritization and organization skills.
  • Self-starter with strong project management skills and ability to follow through.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility to changes and response to new ideas and approaches.

Special Skills/Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Possess intermediate math skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
