Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform hands-on technical support and maintenance within Technology Facilities environments.
Install, extract, and relocate servers, storage, network, and telecommunications hardware and cabling
Plan and perform move/add/change requests.
Maintain and as needed, order and restock supply inventories
Assist Systems Engineers and Administrators in troubleshooting component, connectivity, and device failures.
Provide escort services for 2nd-and 3rd-Party staff in compute facilities. Escort and lead preventative maintenance and critical system repair activities.
Determine all hardware and materials required to complete each new build and retrofit project and procure from suppliers.
Maintain information in Data Center Infrastructure inventory.
Assure site documentation are complete and up-to-date
Coordinate logistics (shipping, receiving, RMA, secure storage, and loading dock) with building management. Ensure proper receipt notification and equipment accounting with purchasing team.
Assist in developing or identifying network cable/rack/cabinet installation processes and standards.
Establish remote access capabilities in support of IT teams.
Experience and Requirements:
Datacenter Operations or related field experience is required.
Customer service oriented individual.
Work involves ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Skills in MS Active Directory, MS Windows Server 2008 and higher.
