This position is responsible for:
Preparing proposals and RFx responses, which involves the following:
Analyzing incoming customer requests and managing their qualification (bid/no-bid decision);
Engaging and managing a virtual team of SMEs to create a high-quality proposal;
Helping to define solution and pricing;
Managing communication flows across the teams, being a single point of contact for the team;
Ensuring and managing proposal review cycles according to corporate policies;
Managing conflict resolution and providing timely escalation when required;
Being responsible for the proposal quality control and all the opportunity records tracking; and
Collecting feedback and follow-up on the response provided.
Supporting pre-sales activities, which involves:
Collecting and updating opportunity information, providing it to internal stakeholders, performing regular follow-ups;
Responding to customer’s clarification questions and requests;
Facilitating preparation for on-site solution presentations and workshops, participate in these sessions if needed; and
Contributing to sales strategy definition.
Being responsible for North America and LATAM regional team management, including:
Supervising regional Bid Managers;
Providing coaching and guidance to the team on complex bids;
Conducting regular reviews of the team’s performance and help with focusing on the weak spots;
Growing the team to support increase business volume by hiring senior and experienced staff;
Reporting to higher management on the status of opportunities in the NA/LATM pipeline;
Contributing to the company’s financial top lines by providing quality proposal with optimal commercial cost and minimum financial exposures in the region; and
Acting as hiring manager for all bid managers in Americas.
Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Communications, or a related field plus three years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
Alternatively, may have a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Communications, or a related field plus eight years of progressive experience in the telecommunications industry.
Solid project management, problem-solving, and coordination skills as proven by ability to manage multinational and multicultural teams distributed across different time-zones (Latin and North America, Europe, Middle East, Asia, ANZ), including ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders;
Understanding of telecommunications business and familiarity with the largest players in the industry (Verizon, AT&T, Comcast);
Awareness of current market trends and competition strengths of largest companies in the telecommunications industry;
Proven ability to parse comprehensive documents including legal contracts;
Strong organizational skill and ability to lead and manage meetings;
Strong problem-solving skills;
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
Solid understanding of main players in the industry and the applicability of the existing NetCracker and ultimate knowledge of our current and past projects portfolio;
Clear understanding of client problems and reliable client solutions;
Clear understanding and immediate ability to navigate sales cycle and sales strategy in the industry;
Clear understanding of the value of particular solutions, basics of the business case, and ROI (Return On Investment); and
Proven ability to calculate value of a telecom contract based on the above.
