Position Summary:
As a QA Engineer you are primarily responsible for reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases. Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating quality testing activities
Role & Responsibilities:
Work in the team to assure the quality of the products or customized Project solutions.
Follow the tasks defined by QA Lead, activities defined in the test plan and be responsible for the test cases execution, defects identification and detailed reporting.
Develop Test Cases, Test Scenarios and help to develop other project QA documentation.
Review and analyze various project documents including Functional Requirements, Use Cases, Design Specs, etc.
Test environment configuration for test execution
Test data preparation for manual and automated testing
Expert review of the already existing test data and update if needed
Testing of a solution and its accompanying documentation
Testing upcoming releases, Hot and Emergency fixes before go-live including Smoke, Progression, Regression and other types of testing;
Identify, Analyze, Reproduce issues and Test fixes from solution Production server;
Take a part in Customer Support activities in case of necessity;
Take part in Bug/Change Management: create new bug/change issues, support the existing ones and test bug fixes.
Coordinate with developers, engineers, business analysts on all issues that need to be clarified
Participation in customer facing meetings for issues triage
Document test results (POTs)
Analysis of test results leading to defect isolation and resolution.
Experience & Requirements:
Higher technical education;
Spoken and written English at least on Intermediate level;
2+ years of experience in quality assurance of custom software applications or products;
Excellent knowledge of bug lifecycle, bug tracking and test management tools (JIRA, HPQC, etc.)
Experienced user of the test execution tools like SoapUI, Jmeter, Postman etc.
Knowledge of the WEB (front/back) and how to work with HTTP(S), JSON, XML, RESTful services;
Understanding of SQL for querying Oracle DB;
Knowledge of SW development/implementation methodologies (Agile and Waterfall);
Good understanding of testing methodologies, standard QA processes, and software release cycles;
Experience with manual testing, incl.: functional, integration, smoke, regression, security etc.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Responsibility and focusing on results;
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet challenging deadlines;
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; quick learner;
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in related field
