Position Summary:

Business Analysts are the lead user-facing resources within the Professional Services Organization. They are at the forefront of working with customers for the purposes of identifying project and product needs. They typically fulfill their role during the requirements gathering, training, and testing phases of the project.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Leading requirements gathering and documentation efforts with respect to Order Entry including order entry quoting and catalog
  • Produce Business and System use cases
  • Prepare gap analyses, citing differences in customer requirements and product functionality
  • Lead creation of order entry solution design specifications for cloud systems with micro-service architecture
  • Obtain customer sign-off for requirements and solution design documents
  • Participate in training documentation preparation and training delivery
  • Identify business issues and develop solutions by leveraging cloud micro-service product capabilities
  • Review and assess customer issues and change requests and screen them according to customer priorities, contractual obligations, and Netcracker business approaches
  • Support Netcracker change management and product management procedures from a business perspective
  • Perform product demonstrations as necessary to introduce the customer to the product
  • Develop and support a collaborative relationship with the technical team and end users from the customer side
  • Participate frequently in on-site visits across North American locations required by the implementation/support plan for varying periods of time

Experience & Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience leading and performing requirements analysis and solution design for cloud solutions with micro-service architecture
  • 5+ years experience leading and performing business requirements analysis, business cases, use cases, requirements management, test plans and scenarios
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with BSS/OSS solutions within the Telco industry.
  • Experience doing order entry design and analysis.
  • Experience with order entry quoting and catalogs.
  • Experience with retail and/or mobile customers.
  • IT networking or telecommunications experience from both a technical and business perspective.
  • Experience with relevant telecom BSS/OSS applications.
  • Knowledge in preparation of requirement specifications on technical and business levels.
  • Customer facing managing meetings and making presentation/explanations to different type of audience.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with transformational solutions within the Telco industry.
  • Familiarity with system integration methodologies.
  • Familiarity with data migration methodologies.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle.
  • In-depth knowledge of implementation and consulting techniques and corresponding technical practices
  • Understanding of project management methodology and tools for the purposes of contributing to project plans, business proposals, and status reports
  • Ability to gather and understand customer requirements and map them onto Netcracker system functionality
  • Strong oral presentation and written communications skills
  • Ability to support end-user training and assist with training delivery
  • Business-like presence and ability to interact professionally with customers at all levels of the customer’s organization, including system users, managers, and senior executives
  • Ability to travel or temporarily relocate for varying periods of time.
  • Additional experience in the following areas is a plus:
    • Business processes and mechanical work flows
    • Storyboards for web portal and mobile application
    • UX design and wireframes
    • Usability
    • Performance, scalability and availability
    • Security and access grants
    • Network technologies
    • Network devices and other components of physical inventory
    • Circuits and other components of logical inventory
    • Other miscellaneous network resources such as IP addresses, telephone numbers, set-top boxes, and other entities
    • Service orders, work orders, and other business documents
    • Business rules for naming conventions, mechanical processes, and others
    • Non-functional requirements
    • Template specifications
    • Report specifications
    • System security

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (BS in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience). Master’s Degree is highly preferred.
