Role & Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and effective technical support for Netсracker's RBM applications and/or products that are in commercial use by the customer – which may include the following activities:
    • Identify, analyze and troubleshoot technical issues in production/PLAB/UAT environments;
    • Restore service and eliminate business impact, either by built-in system means or by providing workarounds using technical toolset (e.g. PL/SQL, perl/java code development, etc.);
    • Provide cost-effective solutions for issues within Netcracker software, ensuring SLA compliance;
    • Assist to perform application operational tasks in case of any urgent/critical issues (e.g. billing run, user grants configuration, etc.);
  • Interact with all teams involved into support of complex multi-application systems (Portal, ECA provisioning, Integrations, Billing, Rating, Mediation, etc.);
  • Follow incident and problem management processes (ITIL);
  • Work as part of the telecom service providers transformation program, providing wide range of services, such as Application Delivery (UAT participation), Application Support, Hosted or Remote Managed Services;
  • Work on-site at telecom operator premises as required to provide services for Production systems for varying periods of time;
  • Participate in customer meetings to ensure issue resolution when necessary;
  • As part of support team actively participate in monthly knowledge transfer process for new projects;
  • Mentor and train new team members;

Experience & Requirements

  • Experience in implementation projects as lead software engineer;
  • Experience with Perl development;
  • Strong PL/SQL experience;
  • Knowledgeable background  to performance tune long running SQLs;
  • Desired Java/ECA experience;
  • Self-motivated, strong technical ability to pick up solution quickly;
  • Willingness to be on call at least once every 3 weeks for weekend support.
  • RB Knowledge with Billing and Rating experience and knowledgeable of CORE APIs is desired

Education

University Degree in Computer Science or related fields
