Position Summary:
Netcracker Technology is looking to hire a Senior Cloud Engineer to be part of our IT Solutions and Deployment team that’s based in Mexico and Brazil. Currently we are open to this position sitting remotely within Brazil or Mexico.
Role and Responsibilities:
Work with Netcracker customers on planning and architecture design to deploy containerized applications.
Lead a team responsible for deployment of Netcracker Cloud platform and Netcracker applications.
Deployment of Netcracker Cloud platform that based on container-orchestration systems and containerized databases in private and public cloud environments.
Deployment of Netcracker Applications on top of Netcracker and third party cloud platforms.
Troubleshooting of applications on Netcracker and third party cloud platforms.
Automation of development, deployment and operations procedures.
Required Skills & Experience:
Fluent in English language (spoken, listening & writing)
Fluent in Spanish or Portuguese language (spoken, listening & writing)
Experience in Cloud implementation projects as senior engineer: private clouds (RHOCP, k8s), public clouds (Google GKE, Amazon EKS, azure AKS).
Experience in Linux system administration (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian);
Experience in management of containerized applications (k8s, docker) and databases: monga, postgre, cassandra, arangodb)
Experience in virtualization technologies: private clouds (Openstack, KVM, VMware), public clouds (GCP, AWS, Azure)
Experience in build and support of highly available solutions.
Experience in analyze, design and build of Continuous Delivery and DevOps processes.
Wide experience in scripting (python, ansible, helm, bash).
Highly preferred but not required:
Experience in build or support of highly available solutions with Linux platform;
Understanding of IaaS, PaaS service delivery
Knowledge of cloud storage file systems (CEPH, nfs, GlusterFS, S3 compatible Storage);
Understanding of network protocols;
Understanding of enterprise network architecture;
Experience in configuration management of medium and large environments with Jenkins, Puppet, salt automation tools (installation, writing manifests, troubleshooting, etc.);
Knowledge of HAproxy, Pacemaker, Corosync
Experience in network equipment configuration: Cisco, Juniper;
Knowledge of programming languages (Python, Ruby)
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
