Position Summary:

The Active Directory Engineer will report into the Global Security Organization (GSO). This role will engineer, implement, maintain, and support Windows Active Directory (AD) and Citrix Workspace infrastructure and related technologies within the Netcracker enterprise. This role includes managing the AD and Citrix environment, including implementing defined architecture and maintaining the AD and Citrix infrastructure, resolving issues, integration with our security tools and systems (including our secure customer support environments), and act as a subject matter expert for our support teams and customer environments.  This role will be expected to act as an escalation point and a mentor to junior level resources across IT and GSO. To be considered for the role, candidates must demonstrate strong technical and communication skills, ability to design and implement critical global infrastructure platforms and have previously supported a fast-moving enterprise environment.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Collaboratively design, implement, maintain, and support highly available and scalable Active Directory and Citrix Workspace solutions in a multi-forest environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting critical infrastructure services running within and alongside Active Directory such as LDAP/LDAPS, DNS, Federation Services, PKI, MFA, Centrify UNIX/Linux integration services, and Group Policy.
  • Design, document, test, and implement sound backup, high availability, failover, and disaster-recovery mechanisms for all Microsoft and Citrix enterprise platforms (Active Directory, DNS, ADFS, XenApp, XenDesktop, PVS, Profile Management, etc.)
  • Design, implement, and support Windows Server solutions including Microsoft Hyper-V.  This includes solution design, configuration, security hardening, capacity planning, ongoing maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Continually improve processes, security posture, and operational efficiency using automation such as Group Policy, PowerShell, and other tools to optimize, maintain, and secure Active Directory and Citrix platforms.
  • Participate in identifying and remediating security risks, responding to internal and external audits, and ensure compliance with regulatory and certification entities.
  • Work closely with end-user support teams, security teams, and IT infrastructure team engineers to ensure optimal operation, performance, and security for all Active Directory and Citrix and related services.
  • Perform root-cause analysis of complex issues ranging from hardware, operating system, application, network, and information security platforms while working closely with a variety of infrastructure teams and business users to quickly arrive at inventive and long-term solutions.
  • Assist in defining and implementing security policies and standards. 
  • Author standard operating procedures and other knowledge documents for use by a variety of audiences from other technical engineers to business users.

Experience & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience
  • Microsoft and/or Citrix certifications preferred
  • Strong Balance of Security First and Operational Availability Mindsets
  • Proficient in all phases of Active Directory and Citrix engineering within multi-forest environments
  • Proficient skills with all Microsoft Windows Server versions
  • Familiar with industry benchmarks and frameworks such as Zero Trust Architecture, Microsoft RAMP, CIS Benchmarks, etc.
  • Ability to operate within and ITIL/IT Service Management and Agile/DevOps/SecOps culture.
  • Participate in 24/7 on call rotation
  • Ability to participate in scheduled off hours duties when not on call
  • Knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure components, including routers, firewalls, servers, load balancers, gateways, and enterprise storage.  Able to resolve highly complex technical problems at the enterprise level
  • Knowledge of VMWare and/or Microsoft Exchange a plus
  • Strong focus on internal and external customer requirements.  Able to engage with internal customers without direction.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and skills able to navigate working in a global enterprise in a high tech industry.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Comfortable presenting their ideas and building a business case to other technical engineers and Information Security and IT managers.
  • Ability to partner with vendors, external contacts, and industry standards organizations to deliver technical solutions
  • Must have appropriate skills with the standard workstation software utilized to perform daily duties, e. g., Word, Excel, Visio, etc.
  • Travel up to 10%

  1. For how long will we use your Data?

If your application is unsuccessful, unless we have a legitimate reason for retaining the Data for longer, we will retain only limited aspects of your Data for a period of two years after we have communicated our decision to you. We may also retain your application so we can consider you for future roles, if this is acceptable to you. After these periods, we will securely destroy your Data.

If your application is successful, we may retain any relevant Data that you have provided as part of the application process in the Greenhouse applicant tracking system and/or your personnel file. The remaining information shall be securely destroyed.
