As a Program Lead you are primarily responsible for development; organization and control of project materials; schedules and costs for multiple to large-scale to the most complex; highly visible projects. Function as a liaison between internal and external clients; technical staff; contractors and vendors from project conception to project completion. May provide subject matter expertise in technical areas such as telecommunications; data communications; information systems and technology infrastructure design; administration; security; maintenance and support. Incumbent mentors junior project manager; influences and drives project office “best practices” and facilitate various technical steering committees. May manage project from a technical perspective either client driven or internal NetCracker driven projects.
Role and Responsibilities:
Manage and grow Netcracker’s on-site transformation programs, including the following:
Budget and business planning for projects and programs including forecasting, monitoring, and resource planning, while ensuring business profitability
Manage customer expectations and satisfaction
Generate additional profitable revenue by expanding the scope of services provided by Netcracker
Partner with Sales Team to support new solution revenue opportunities within accounts through the creation of calculations and proposals, execution of contract negotiations, and pre-sales consulting.
Represent Solution Delivery in presales activities, ensuring that Netcracker deployment methodologies are accurately represented to potential customers
Lead recurring governance meetings with client steering committee to ensure alignment on program milestones and future strategy.
Hold Account Teams accountable for project deliverables
Manage all resources to ensure that all program commitments are completed on time, within budget, and with high quality
Lead service delivery and customer support activities related to the Netcracker product suite
Establish and grow relationships with clients at all levels in the organization
Act as a trusted advisor to customer executives and SMEs, participating in strategic and roadmap discussions on business transformation.
Lead cross-functional, multi-cultural, geographically dispersed teams
Establish and manage MBOs/KPIs for the team
Partner with leadership to create and maintain departmental staffing plans, organizational charts, budgets, and other appropriate departmental documentation
Interact with Engineering and Product Management departments in an effective manner, providing input for ongoing product enhancements
Experience & Requirements:
Strong experience delivering large BSS transformation programs in the telecoms industry.
Excellent oral and written communication and exceptional interpersonal skills.
Capable of fostering a clear understanding of project’s role in meeting departmental objectives.
Advanced business knowledge and excellent project management skills.
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision on complex projects.
Capable of conflict resolution and project risk mitigation.
The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in Project Management ‘best practices’ as defined by the Project management Institute.
Candidates will have experience in influencing change in an organization, developing exceptional project teams across geographic and corporate boundaries.
Must have proficiency with various software applications programs including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
Strategic and analytical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems and make decisions.
Ability to conduct in-depth research and present technical recommendations.
Proven ability to manage large scale, collaborative, technical projects to closure.
Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
Experience in working in a multi-client and multi-vendor environment.
Detail and customer service oriented.
BA/BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related major preferred
