Senior Software Analyst

Position Summary:

Netcracker Technology is looking to hire a Senior Software Analyst to join our growing company! This position will be part of our International Center of Expertise team. This team addresses over 4,000 escalations and produces close to 2,000 patches per year. They're also involved in providing heavy redesigning / hardening of our core and custom solutions.  In addition this team actively works on many ACPD (accelerated core product development) requests coming from all of our Rating and Billing (RB) clients.

The person selected will be responsible for post-production support for all Netcracker RB software core implementations. They'll be required to analyze the issues raised in the RB product and solution, then provide the resolution in terms of configuration change, requirement clarifications, patch fixes etc. This person will work closely with our Solution Delivery and R&D teams to help develop new solutions. Along with providing leadership in solving issues and working with their team on high severity, mission critical work. Once up to speed, this person will be join a rotation that provides 24x7 on-call support to our customer production system. 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to all core version of RB.
  • Provide technical support to junior resources for resolving the critical issues
  • Design, Development and Testing
  • Design and write complex programs and system interfaces in accordance with client specifications
  • Perform unit tests for any of the clients deliverables before the release
  • Independent working and decision making while working on production issues or feature delivery
  • Do thorough reviews from the technical as well as functional aspect
  • Provide technical leadership to the team
  • Serve as first level for client interface by providing solutions or options to client problems/needs.
  • Provide 24*7 on-call post production supports to all RB clients.
  • Perform investigation and research for system environments to assist in resolving complex programming problems or identifying solutions to new business requirements.
  • Ensure completion of issues within established SLAs.
  • Participate in training programs in building strong knowledge of the RB product.

Required:

  • Must have extensive experience with C, C++ and Pro-C, UNIX, PERL / Shell Scripting and Oracle (including PL/SQL and performance tuning).
  • Must have Development, Coding, Designing and Code Review experience
  • Experience with Development and Debugging Tools
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in related technical discipline and a minimum 5 - 8 years of relevant experience
  • Client Interaction
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Technical Skills Required (Strong hands on experience)
  • Knowledge of big data concepts technology like Cassandra, Kafka, PostgreSQL is preferable
  • High Energy levels are required for driving the team to raise the performance bar.
  • Experience preferred in implementation project environment, specializing in programming and analysis
  • Working knowledge of business functions and planning experience
  • Must have proficiency in relevant programming and control languages, strong analytical skills and thorough knowledge of standards and practices
  • Telecom Billing experience desirable
  • Must have proficiency with various software applications programs including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must be customer centric and detail oriented
  • Good in multi-tasking.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
