Position Summary:
As a QA Analyst you are primarily responsible for reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases. Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating quality testing activities
Role & Responsibilities:
The Software Test Engineer will follow a documented test plan and be responsible for the reporting of clear and very detailed bug reports.
The Software Test Engineer will work with their fellow testers and senior tester to ensure quality testing and bug reporting is maintained throughout the product’s entire testing process.
The Software Test Engineer will be required to analyze user requirements
Understand and document procedures
Develop publish and implement test plans
Write and maintain test cases
Create and maintain test data
Clearly document and re-verify all defects
Document test results
Analyzing the requirements for multi-tier architected web-commerce applications from industry standard design documents.
Developing high-level test design and planning documentation.
Design, code, test, and execute test case scenarios
Analysis of test results leading to defect isolation and resolution.
Support root cause analyses, reproduce issues and provide relevant logs to dev teams to speed up issues resolution
In order to complete the above listed duties, the ideal candidate must possess solid knowledge of SIT/UAT cycle progress, Cable domain and ICOMS, HPQC/JIRA defects managing.
Must also be well versed in:
Sound knowledge and experience of Order Entry, Order Management, Product Catalog; and experience working with Test Automation Tools.
Ability to design, develop, and implement QA test cases
Ability to perform all aspects of verification, including functional, integration, structural, regression, and load and system testing.
Experience & Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years of Software Test/QA experience
Excellent English communication skills including both written and verbal
Experience with manual testing, including: functional, integration, smoke, regression, and load testing
Experience in SQL
Deep understanding of testing methodologies, standard QA processes, and software release cycles
Post-secondary certification in Computer Science Engineering or related fields.
Relevant courses and certifications in testing domain (ISTQB) will be considered as an advantage
Must speak high level Japanese and English.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in related field
