What will be your responsibilities?

As a Software Engineer / Java Developer at Netcracker, you will participate in the development and the evolution of our applications in production environment for our Digital Transformation Projects in LATAM and World Wide.  This position will be part of a Global Center of Software Engineers based in Mexico City.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Take part in implementation projects and further evolution of developed software source code and configuration
• Analyze functional requirements and put them into implementation considering existing system and product components architecture
• Assisting in task decomposition
• Implement necessary changes following software engineering best practices
• Analyze, categorize, implement and deploy change requests and enhancements to further improve the existing solution
• Analyze, troubleshoot, provide workarounds and resolve various complex software problems related to customer solution during acceptance and production phases
• Maintain and improve the performance of existing software
• Perform code review
• Mentor and train new team members. This position will develop into a Leading Role.

Experience & Requirements:

• 5+ years of recent development experience in enterprise systems
• Proficiency in Java, Spring, Jakarta EE and SQL technologies
• Experience with Oracle DB (SQL, PL/SQL)
• Excellent knowledge of software engineering best practices (e.g. Agile software development, unit testing, code reviews etc.)
• Experience with building APIs and services using REST, SOAP
• Experience with Tlbco, Kubernetes
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good written and spoken English
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

• B.S. \ M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another related field
