This Associate Security Architect will report into Netcracker's Global Security Organization (GSO). This role will be required to have a strong knowledge of network security and system design - including on premise, hybrid, and with emphasis on cloud native environments. It will also be necessary to maintain knowledge of emerging security technologies and trends - which will be applied to new system and application design, continuous improvement to existing environments, and representation of the GSO in the change control process. To be considered for the role, candidates must demonstrate strong technical and communication skills, ability to design and implement critical global infrastructure security platforms, experience in coordinating requirements and solutions with multiple teams, and have previously worked in a fast-moving enterprise environment.
This position can sit remotely within the United States.
Lead GSO driven initiatives to strengthen Netcracker’s security posture.
Lead adaptation of our security practices to align with industry trend towards cloud adoption for complex solutions
Investigate and implement new technologies that address identified risks and business security requirements.
Manage the change control process to ensure compliance with established security standards.
Partner with Operational teams in the delivery of security architectures and roadmaps.
Develop and present security best practices, technical concepts and technologies.
Protect against new types of security threats by ensuring that solutions are in place to guard against such threats, and that incident response capabilities are implemented and maintained.
Manage the development, implementation and continuous refinement of security policies, standards and procedures to ensure ongoing strengthening and maintenance of security practices.
Ensure security models, technologies and protocols are established, enforced and maintained by system architects and designers.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience within Infrastructure and/or Security Operations
Minimum of 2 years in a Security Architecture role including cloud based environments
Architectural knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, Oracle, and GCP
Architectural knowledge of cloud native and third party security tools
Architectural knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure components, including routing, firewalls, servers, and enterprise storage/SANs
Architectural knowledge of Microsoft, Linux and / or with other Unix-based operating systems is a plus.
*Hands on experience in addition to architectural knowledge a plus for all of above
Experience with specifying encryption requirements and management best practices.
Knowledge of code development practices, application security testing and data management a plus.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with information technology professionals, senior management, auditors and vendors.
Documentation and presentation skills, analytical and critical thinking skills, and the ability to identify needs and take initiative are key requirement of this role.
Must be able to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team, share workloads, and deal with sudden shifts in project priorities while under pressure.
Must have a strong focus on internal and external customer requirements
Must have appropriate skills with the standard workstation software utilized to perform daily duties, e. g., Word, Excel, Visio, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related field
Technical/Security Certifications are a plus
