Position Summary:

Business Analysts are the lead user-facing resources. They are at the forefront of working with customers for the purposes of identifying project and product needs. They typically fulfil their role during the requirements gathering, training, and testing phases of the project.

 Responsibilities:

  • Leading requirements gathering and documentation efforts with respect to Whole-Sale Web-Portal and Order Entry
  • Produce Business and System use cases
  • Prepare gap analyses, citing differences in customer requirements and product functionality
  • Support Web-Portal UI, order entry UI, and product catalog design development
  • Analysis and design of Wholesale Telco Business processes: product sales and order management.
  • Define Web-Portal business logic
  • Define Web-Portal UI design
  • Define dependencies between product catalog components and Order Entry UI
  • Obtain design sign-off from the customer business users and customer IT representatives
  • Performing early-stage business requirements analysis, feasibility and organizational readiness assessment as input to design stage of a project
  • Lead in UAT and other required testing activities and system sign-off efforts
  • Participate in training documentation and delivery
  • Coordinate with customer support on product issues
  • Identify business issues and apply product solutions
  • Review and assess customer issues and change requests and screen them according to customer priorities, contractual obligations, and Netcracker business approaches
  • Support Netcracker change management and product management procedures from a business perspective
  • Perform product demonstrations as necessary to introduce the customer to the product
  • Develop and support a collaborative relationship with the technical team and end users from the customer side
  • Participate frequently in on-site visits required by the implementation/support plan for varying periods of time
  • Report to PS Project Manager on a weekly basis or instantly on the occurrence of urgent issues according to Netcracker standard reporting practices including:
  • Milestones completed and action points
  • Open issues
  • Time spent for specific task completion
  • Expenses

Experience and Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge and experience working with BSS/OSS solutions within the Telco industry.
  • 5+ years’ experience with enterprise-level application software technical implementation and expertise in applying technology to meet customer needs.
  • 3+ years’ experience doing order entry design and analysis.
  • 3+ years’ experience with order entry quoting and catalogs.
  • Experience writing storyboards for web portal and mobile application
  • Experience as sales or sales engineer at B2B service provide is a plus
  • 3+ years’ experience leading and performing business requirements analysis, business cases, use cases, requirements management, test plans and scenarios
  • 3+ years’ experience in Telecom business analysis - strong understanding structure of products and services proposed by telecommunication service providers for MVNO
  • Experience in product catalog configuration at B2B telecom service provider is a plus
  • Understanding of Wholesale telco services sales process
  • Experience with relevant telecom BSS/OSS applications.
  • Knowledge in preparation of requirement specifications on technical and business levels.
  • Customer facing managing meetings and making presentation/explanations to different type of audience
  • Strong knowledge and experience with transformational solutions within the Telco industry.
  • Familiarity with system integration methodologies.
  • Familiarity with data migration methodologies.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of eTOM and SID standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of implementation and consulting techniques and corresponding technical practices
  • Understanding of project management methodology and tools for the purposes of contributing to project plans, business proposals, and status reports
  • Ability to gather and understand customer requirements and map them onto target system functionality
  • Strong oral presentation and written communications skills
  • Ability to support end-user training and assist with training delivery
  • Business-like presence and ability to interact professionally with customers at all levels of the customer’s organization, including system users, managers, and senior executives
  • Ability to travel or temporarily relocate for varying periods of time.
  • Additional experience in the following areas is a plus:
  • Business processes and mechanical work flowsNetwork technologies
  • Network devices and other components of physical inventory
  • Circuits and other components of logical inventory
  • Other miscellaneous network resources such as IP addresses, telephone numbers, set-top boxes, and other entities

Education:

  • B.A., B.S., or higher
