System Analyst Development

Position Summary (Roles & Responsibilities):

The position is to work full-time as system analyst supporting and developing the billing system for one of Brazil’s largest telecommunication operator.

 The system analyst will be responsible for performing development tasks, which includes providing technical design, coding, and unit testing. The system analyst will also perform tasks including level 3 customer support, which including understanding customer complaints, trouble shooting, and fixing code problems in both production and test environments. From time to time the system analyst will be expected to technically lead a small team of developer while working on new features.

 The system analyst will receive support from his peers, however it is expected that he will perform his duties by himself requiring minimum supervision, independently and pro-actively searching for solutions to conclude his assigned tasks effectively and with quality.

 

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but not limited to the listed:

  • Technical design analysis for new features
  • Development of new features (coding and unit testing)
  • Trouble shooting and code correction for customer issues
  • Technical leadership of small team of developers while working on new features

Experience & Requirements:

Education & Professional Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or in course in related technical discipline (Computer Science, Computer engineering)

 Candidate Profile:

Mandatory:

  • Experience in a similar position for at least 2 years
  • Strong Technical background
  • Strong knowledge of C++/Java/SQL
  • Knowledge in Unix/Linux, computer operating systems
  • Knowledge in MS-Office (Word and Excel) as complementary toll to make the deliverables
  • It is necessary to have the availability to support client
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Team work and Adaptability
  • Negotiation and Stress tolerance
  • Good communication skills in both Portuguese and English

Desired:

  • Experience in systems which process high volume of data (parallel, distributed and scalable processes)
  • Experience with business benefits and value proposition
  • Experience in Billing solutions and/or Telecommunication industry mainly in Rating, Usage and Billing areas
  • Experience in developing technical requirements, solution architecture, and effort estimation
  • Knowledge of business processes and functions of the Customer

 Required Language Skills: 

  • English, advanced/fluent
  • Brazilian Portuguese, advanced/fluent
  • Spanish, desired
