Maxcom Selects Netcracker to Transform OSS for Quad-Play Services
Maxcom has selected Netcracker to deliver a large-scale OSS transformation.
Netcracker Technology announced today that Maxcom, an integrated, quad-play communications service provider serving key metropolitan markets in Mexico, has selected Netcracker to deliver a large-scale OSS transformation that will radically improve its order-to-cash process and network design, build and optimization capabilities. Maxcom provides voice, high-speed Internet, mobile and pay-TV services to residential and business customers in key urban areas across Mexico.
This large-scale OSS transformation will replace Maxcom’s existing, third-party OSS solution with Netcracker’s end-to-end, next-generation OSS offerings, including Resource Inventory, Service Inventory, Service Information Management, Service Order Management, Service Activation and Service Problem Management solutions.
Netcracker will create a centralized logical inventory for Maxcom’s legacy and next-generation networks and services, which will streamline Maxcom’s end-to-end service fulfillment processes and improve the quad-play provider’s ability to manage network service topology, connectivity assignments as well as network configuration and status information. The new solution will also provide Maxcom with end-to-end capacity management functionality and enable greater design and analysis capabilities to accelerate network planning projects, improve network resource utilization and increase return on its network technology investments.

In turn, this will improve Maxcom’s overall customer experience by speeding its responsiveness to customer requests and help it meet the growing demand for service innovation while improving its overall cost structure.
Maxcom will also use a variety of Netcracker professional services, including solution design, analysis and configuration; data migration; testing; and integration with a range of systems including CRM, number portability and network elements for activation. Netcracker will bring its globally proven best practices for re-engineering business processes as well as achieving and sustaining physical and logical network data integrity to improve service fulfillment, optimize network and service resource utilization and increase customer satisfaction.
