Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to lead and manage end-to-end bid and proposal activities within the telecommunications sector. The role is responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, developing winning commercial and technical proposals, and ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal requirements.The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen, telecoms domain knowledge, and excellent project management skills to deliver high-quality bids on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage theend-to-end bid lifecycle from opportunity qualification to contract award
- Lead bid strategy development, includingwin themes, pricing strategy, and risk assessment
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Operations, Supply Chain)
- Develop and manageRFP/RFQ/RFI responses for telecoms solutions (e.g. network rollout, managed services, OSS/BSS, 5G, fiber, IoT)
- Ensure proposals meettechnical, commercial, and contractual requirements
- Create and maintain bid plans, schedules, and deliverables
- Review and approve bid content for quality, consistency, and compliance
- Manage bid budgets, approvals, and governance processes
- Lead customer clarification meetings and internal bid reviews
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to the continuous improvement of bid processes
Skills and Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in bid management, proposal management, or commercial roles within telecom
- Strong understanding oftelecommunications solutions and services
- Proven experience managingcomplex, multi-stakeholder bids
- Excellent project management and organisational skills
- Strong commercial and financial understanding (pricing, margin, risk)
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong stakeholder management abilities
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field
