Job Summary
The position of the Technical Manager would be to provide technical leadership for one or several accounts for internal and external purposes. Build good relationships with customers and technical teams. Make sure all technical issues are promptly handled and resolved for continuous professional support coverage.
Responsibilities
- Define the end-to-end architecture of the Netcracker customer solution.
- Own and manage maintenance patch/release development lifecycle;
- Plan and manage several support development teams: allocate resources, distribute tasks within the team, control the results;
- Participate in resolution of the complex issues in such areas as integration interface, system performance or environment related;
- Carry out support and development projects (post production phase) through the full cycle starting from feature/CR requirements gathering up to implementation and documentation preparation;
- Lead development team during software development (implementation) and software maintenance (commercial operations) phases;
- Manage internal and external technical communications and task flows around the software delivery process, carry out technical meetings, phone calls, conferences, and presentations;
- Perform software release management and change management functions as required;
Skills and experience
- 4+ years of experience in software development or cloud engineering.
- 4+ years of technical management experience (preferably in software application support)
- Knowledge of containerized applications (openshift, kubernetes, docker);
- Knowledge and experience in scripting (Ansible, bash);
- Experience with cloud-native solutions;
- Knowledge of DevOps methods (Jenkins, Git, Artifactory);
- Linux knowledge (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu) at least on a confident user level;
- Experience working in the telecommunications industry is preferred
- Successful experience managing IT projects;
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to assume a leadership role; owning the job;
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; quick learner;
- Consistently sound level of judgment and professional conduct;
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet challenging deadlines;
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other Technical Engineering discipline.
