Leading the Field Again in GlobalData’s “NFV MANO: Competitive Landscape Assessment” Report
Netcracker's NFV MANO solution continues to showcase industry leadership, as it is once again recognized as the sole leader in the market.
NFV MANO is developing rapidly, expanding beyond its original VNF-centric role through services and moving toward 5G orchestration. In a recent GlobalData report titled “NFV MANO: Competitive Landscape Assessment,” the analyst firm highlighted the importance of demonstrable full lifecycle capabilities, explained its strategy regarding open-source frameworks and recognized Netcracker as the sole leader for the fourth year in a row.
The GlobalData report highlights that NFV is considered by both service providers and vendors to be the most important network transformation that the industry has undertaken in its history. Without NFV MANO, NFV loses almost all of its agility, as well as operational and cost benefits, making tomorrow’s 5G network increasingly difficult to operate and optimize. Service providers should recognize that NFV is a major organizational and business process disruption; they need an NFV MANO technology partner that can support and transform their existing OSS.
GlobalData highlights that service providers should look for solutions that allow for service design, provide support for physical network functions and enable slice orchestration. The solutions should be flexible to interface and allow for multivendor interworking. This will help avoid vendor lock-in and enable MANO solutions to integrate into existing carrier environments. Vendors should be able to support VNF onboarding to integration and deployment. GlobalData’s vendor analysis recognized Netcracker as the only leader in this category for the fourth year in a row.
