What is the scope of this role?

Netcracker Technology is looking to hire a BSS Solution Architect in Riga. This position will assume involvement into solution delivery activities as well as pre-sales. The role will help support the Sales team on new or existing customers in all phases in the sales process and will act as BSS SME (Subject Matter Expert) representing Netcracker in front of our customers.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Be part of Solution Architecture team on a large project or take a responsibility for specific component/stream architecture
• Own solution end-2-end, managing different types of demands and requirements and create best-in-class solutions for our customer’s needs
• Build relations with customer’s architects and all relevant IT & business stakeholders
• Create and own Solution Architecture documentation / designs
• Working with multiple Account Executives to support opportunity qualification and technical assessment process
• Ensure that solution meets product best practices and in compliance with industry standards
• Supervise implementation, perform solution/functional/operational gate reviews

Required Experience:

• Experience delivering solutions in a BSS domain (eCommerce and eCare portals, CRM, Order Capture, Customer Problem Management etc.)
• 5+ years working at an Architect or a Product Owner position
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as strong strategic and analytical skills
• Ability to work as part of a team to solve complex technical problems and work with accounts in complex environments
• Business-like presence and ability to interact professionally with customers at all organization levels
• Nice to have: IT and/or software development experience in one or more of the following areas: Cloud solutions, DevOps, customer facing application, large-scale, mission-critical applications, network management systems, general large-scale system architecture, large-scale databases
• Fluent English language knowledge
• High degree in IT (Master’s Degree), Telecommunications or related areas

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Knowledge of major industry standards: eTOM, SID, TAM, ITIL, OSS/j, MTOSI, etc
• Knowledge of Communications Service Provider business in Retail and B2B domains, wireless and wireline services
• Knowledge in all major BSS functional areas: Channels, Customer Care, CPQ, Product Catalog, Fulfillment, Billing, OCS
