Position Summary 

The Revenue Accountant will play a key role in supporting the company’s global revenue operations and ensuring accurate recognition and reporting of revenue in compliance with IFRS standards. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams—Sales, Legal, and Delivery—to review contracts, apply appropriate revenue recognition treatments, and ensure consistency with internal policies and IFRS 15.

This role is responsible for executing the revenue recognition process, assisting in month-end close, and contributing to audit and compliance activities. The Revenue Accountant will also help drive process improvements and support system enhancements related to revenue accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform revenue recognition activities in compliance with IFRS 15 and related accounting standards.
  • Review customer contracts to identify performance obligations, assess revenue treatment, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Delivery teams to ensure contracts align with revenue recognition policies.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of revenue-related journal entries and reconciliations as part of the month-end close process.
  • Support the development and documentation of revenue accounting policies and procedures.
  • Assist with external and internal audit requests related to revenue.
  • Help maintain and improve ERP and reporting systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency in revenue processing.
  • Support billing and collections teams to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and cash application.
  • Contribute to cross-functional training and knowledge sharing on revenue-related topics.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives, including process improvements and system implementations.
  • Occasional international travel may be required.

Skills and Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in revenue accounting, preferably within IT services, Software, or SaaS industries.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS 15 – Revenue from Contracts with Customers.
  • Experience with contract review and applying revenue recognition guidance.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with shared service centers or international teams is a plus.
  • Proficient in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively across departments.

Education 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
